Construction is underway on new homes just north of downtown Celina, according to an Aug. 1 news release.
The gist
North Square at Uptown Celina is a planned 13-acre residential community that will feature 78 paired homes built by Olivia Clarke Homes. Real estate developer Rockhill Capital and Investments announced work on the project’s infrastructure has been completed with new home construction now underway.
The community's first model home is expected to open in November, a media spokesperson said in an email. Its first batch of inventory homes are expected to be delivered during the same month.
The details
Homes within the neighborhood will feature floor plans of up to 2,507 square feet with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, according to the news release. The development will also have a 12-foot-wide hike and bike trail that is golf-cart friendly. The trail is planned to run directly into downtown Celina.
“North Square at Uptown Celina is such a special project, as it is located right near downtown Celina, which is so walkable,” said Jennifer Johnson, Olivia Clarke Homes founder and president, in a statement. “If you live in North Square, you’ll be near shops, great little lunch spots and lots of events where people come together outside of their homes. There’s no better place to cultivate community.”
Zooming out
The neighborhood is one of four communities planned for the 675-acre Uptown Celina development. The new communities are expected to add 2,500 homes to Celina overall when finished.
